Quick Add is NimbleCal's "type it like you say it" event creation.

Examples:

  • "Coffee with Sam Friday 3pm"
  • "Pay rent on the 1st"
  • "Gym every weekday 7am"

Quick Add parsing runs 100% locally. The text you type is not sent to NimbleCal servers and is not shared with third-party AI APIs.

How to use it

  1. Open NimbleCal.
  2. Click Quick Add (in the app UI) or use the Quick Add hotkey (shown in the app).
  3. Type your event in plain language.
  4. Review the preview, then create the event.

If something parses incorrectly, the best fix is usually to add one more detail (like a date or time).
