NimbleCal is a web app, but you can install it so it launches like a standalone app (icon, dedicated window, faster access).
Best on desktop
NimbleCal works best on desktop browsers. Mobile web browsers have platform limitations (unreliable reminders, no background sync). iOS and Android apps are in development to deliver a proper mobile experience.
Install on Android (Chrome)
- Open app.nimblecal.com in Chrome.
- Open the browser menu (usually ⋮).
- Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Confirm.
Install on desktop (Chrome/Chrome-based browsers or Edge)
- Open app.nimblecal.com.
- Look for the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu.
- Choose Install NimbleCal.
Install on iPhone or iPad (Safari)
Mobile web has limitations
iOS doesn't allow web apps to run in the background, so reminders won't work reliably and events won't sync unless the app is open. iOS and Android apps are in development. For now, we recommend using NimbleCal on desktop.
If you'd like to try it anyway, here's how:
- Open app.nimblecal.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Name it "NimbleCal", then tap Add.
Troubleshooting
- If you do not see an install option, try a non-private window (Incognito/Private browsing can block install).
- If your browser blocks notifications, reminders will not show until you allow them in browser settings.
